Behavioral Health Consultant:
Our Behavioral Health Consultants function to meet the diagnostic, consultation,
and counseling needs of the children, teens, and young adults whom we serve.
Our Consultants may provide counseling or therapy services to individuals, families, or groups.
Our Consultants also complete functional behavioral assessments and develop support
or treatment plans across all environments. Masters or doctoral degree in social work,
psychology, or education required. LSCW or HSPP licensure preferred. Full time positions available.
Community Mentor:
The primary function of the Community Mentor is to assist a child, teen, or young adult
to participate in structured home and community based activities which promote their
education and skill acquisition. The youth served by Connections typically have developmental
delays or other emotional issues which require these additional supports to become fully integrated.
Community Mentors may assist youth or young adults to complete homework, participate in
extracurricular activities at school, exercise at the YMCA, play in sports activities, attend plays or concerts,
access public transportation, manage a budget, attend health appointments, etc.
Each young person
has an individualized support plan to address their personal interests and academic needs
developed by our trained staff. A bachelor’s degree in an education or human service field required.

Educational Mentor:
The primary function of the Educational Mentor is to provide individualized instructional and
behavioral support services to children and young adults, ages 5-22 in school based settings.
It is the primary goal of the Mentor to facilitate opportunities for the youth served to become
fully physically and socially included in their academic community. We primarily support children
with severe emotional and behavioral issues in Marion County Indiana & the surrounding county
school districts. Community based education may be required during school breaks or per IEP
requirements. A Bachelors degree in a human service or education discipline is required.

Evaluation Specialist:
Our Evaluation Specialists will conduct parenting assessments or diagnostic evaluations in
Marion and six surrounding counties. Based upon their professional interests, expertise and credentials,
our Specialists may complete psychological examinations, forensic or mental status evaluations,
comprehensive family profiles & bonding assessments. Masters degree in social work, psychology, or
education and experience with psychometric evaluation is required. PhD in psychology or education preferred.

Youth and Family Mentor:
Our Youth and Family Mentors apply theories and concepts of the wraparound process to support
youth ages 6-20 that are most at risk of inpatient hospitalizations or residential placement to
be successful living in the community. Mentors will be responsible to monitor parent and child progress,
health and welfare, assist with crisis intervention, and provide general resources and community opportunities
to children and families. Mentors will also directly teach youth life and social skills to address their
identified needs. Full time position. one late evening per week required, Travel within Marion and immediately
surrounding counties required. A minimum of a bachelors degree in a human service or related field
required with a minimum of three years paid work or personal experience in providing services to youth
or young adults with serious emotional disturbance or illness. Preferred skill sets would include assessment,
care plan development, and the linking and monitoring of services.

Our Youth and Family Therapists apply theories and concepts of the wraparound process to support
youth ages 6-20 that are most at risk of inpatient hospitalizations or residential placement to be
successful living in the community. Therapists will conduct comprehensive assessments, identify and
promote family strengths, offer consultation and education to the team on best practices for supporting
this population, develop home treatment/ support plans, provide training and technical assistance to
carry out the plan, monitor the participant and other providers in the implementation of the plan,
provide crisis counseling. Full time position, one late evening per week required, Travel within Marion
and immediately surrounding counties required. One of the following licensures or degrees are required:
HSPP, Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Social Worker, or Mental Health Counselor as defined under
IC 25-23 with a minimum of three years paid work or personal experience in providing services to youth
or adults with serious emotional disturbance or illness.
Child and Adolescent Therapist: Our Child and Adolescent Therapists serve as a professional resource to area elementary and high schools to support the mental health needs of youth with serious emotional disorders. Therapists may also work within our day treatment program model as well. Our therapists evaluate a student’s mental health status, confirm any diagnosis, assess family support needs, and assure student access to physical health care, inclusive of medication management assistance. They also create a comprehensive environmental plan to address the youth’s behavioral health, safety, and crisis needs. Therapists will conduct CANS assessments, identify and promote family strengths, offer consultation and education to the team on best practices for supporting this population, develop home treatment/ support plans, provide training and technical assistance to carry out the plan, monitor the participant and other providers in the implementation of the plan, provide crisis counseling. Full time position, one late evening per week required. Masters degree in social work, psychology, or education required with a minimum of one year full time paid work experience in providing services to youth or adults with serious emotional disturbance or illness.
