Social Security Administration
The Social Security Administration has selected Connections, Inc. to provide psychological and mental status evaluations for the US Government beginning January 1, 2008. We are presently assisting the SSA to determine eligibility for applicants applying for mental health disability benefits by completing an array of measurement tests. We are excited about the opportunity to assist both the SSA and applicants who are in need of critical financial resources by completing their examinations and reports within no more than thirty days from referral.
New Department of Mental Health Certification
Connections, Inc. was approved by the Indiana Department of Mental Health in December 2007 to provide mental health services thru a new grant for children in behavioral health crisis. The Children’s Alternative to Psychiatric Residential Treatment program or (CAPRT) offers critical community based alternative services to youth ages 6-22 who are most at risk of placement in treatment facilities due to behavioral health concerns. Services which we provide thru this grant include family support and training services, habilitation services, wraparound technician, and clinical consultative services.
Evaluation Services
Connections, Inc. is currently expanding our evaluation services team and is available to complete psychological, psycho-educational, forensic, mental status or diagnostic evaluations for children and adults within no more than 30 days of referral. Emergency appointments are available as needed. Our forensic team will also travel to correctional or detention facilities to meet with detained individuals as required. Medicaid accepted for testing fees.
Quarterly Seminar: Ethical Considerations in Mental Health
Connections, Inc. in partnership with the Helix Foundation is pleased to invite you to the first of our new quarterly seminar series on topics related to public health education. On February 22nd from 9am-2pm, Dr. Roger Perry, PhD, HSPP will present “Ethical Considerations in Mental Health”. Dr. Perry will explore with participants the ethical obligations of mental health professionals in the provision of services. The seminar will be held at Connections, Inc. office in downtown Indianapolis at 711 S. East St. Fees are $35 per person and includes lunch. Invitation to Annual Photo Shoot
As you may have noticed, we love to take pictures at Connections! So every year, we have professional photographer, Robert Thompson, from Life Paths Photography meet us at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis to take new photos of our friends and families. As such, we are looking for "models" of all ages and looks to volunteer to be featured in our 2008 communication materials. Its ok if we don’t know you just come along and we will soon! If you are interested in joining the fun, we will meet at the entrance to the Museum at 10am sharp on Saturday March 22nd, 2008.
