Marta Stamwitz, BS, Community Mentor
Marta Stamwitz, B.S. functions as a Community Mentor for Connections Inc. Marta has worked with and advocated for families and children with various disabilities and disadvantages for the past 13 years. She has worked with youth ranging in age from 5-20 both in and out of the special education classroom. She was the director of a summer camp and after-school program for disadvantaged children, a behavioral support specialist, teacher’s aide, and a tutor for children with learning disabilities. She has also provided support to families who faced a wide array of challenges as a self-sufficiency case manager. Marta has spent the majority of her career working with children who face emotional, behavioral, and economical challenges. Marta is very passionate about trying to equip youth with the support, guidance, resources, and encouragement they need so that they may realize and reach their greatest potential.
Marta graduated from Colorado State University with a BS degree in Recreation and Natural Resources. Not surprisingly, she enjoys all outdoor recreation, such as, hiking, jogging, camping, white water rafting, and biking. She also enjoys going to concerts and listening to music.
